You come 1st!

Where to go by Sportsman
LINK

Is there anyone out there who thinks that by making others come first on his/her priority list, those people will be appreciative to them? One day.. Sometime?!! If yes, I say to you CHERISH THE THOUGHT! Shall I say it louder? May be use some larger font? Those people whom you are putting first on your list might not always treat you the same way you treated them once… or may be even millions of times! See you have to come first. One of the companies are having their moto as “Raise Yourself To Help Mankind” I think that moto sums it all. That’s due to a simple fact; you cannot help others’ while you are not whole in the first place. Do I make sense to you? Let me explain with an example. Whenever you take a flight to anywhere around the world, the flight attendants show up demonstrating those safety guidelines. There is this part about the oxygen masks. If you are accompanying a child, first put “your” mask on and then help the child with his/her mask. If you didn’t do in the recommended order, there is a chance that “you” won’t make it to the end! I think this example serves the purpose. We are surrounded by people around us who make others come first in their life but what do they get in return? Pretty much nothing, in most cases,

A mother dedicating her whole life to her children to the extent that she wouldn’t buy herself some new outfits! She says that it’s a better investment to keep the money for the children needs. Instead she takes whatever her friends spare and decide to give to "Goodwill", LINK, to use. The outcome you ask? The teenager daughter is ashamed of her won mother popping up in her school. The daughter’s friends make fun of her mom and how untidy her outlook is! Whom to blame? The daughter or the mother?

Another scene: An employee dedicates the best days of his life to the company they are enrolled in when s/he was only 22 years old. The poor guy followed his father's advice, Study hard! Get a job and stay loyal to your company! That’s what his father used to repeatedly say to him and so did the son/daughter. The outcome? You ask, again? A dismissal slip along with a lousy gift for the hard work and dedication of thirty years of service or so...

You my dear seem to be a fighter, huh? Another example, Is that what you want? You got it! A lover staying loyal to their partner as no body else has ever done before. The poor lover thought in silence:” If I try my best to make my partner happy all the time, listened to them and made them laugh, I will never lose them! It doesn’t matter if I don’t approve whatever they say, does it? It’s not worth to make them getting angry over trivial issues. They will remember all the times I was there for them! “

Time passes by and the day comes when it’s all over between the two.

As they say, the way you are is due to two things: nature and nurture. I think the majority of us, correct me if I am wrong, have been raised to believe that we have to sacrifice. We need to please the people around us. Without paying much attention to the fact that we need to please ourselves in the first place. If one feels like a whole from the inside and well balanced, s/he won’t need to please others or strive for their attention and affection.

A song sensation likes!

It might be gloomy, it might be sad… but I like it! Actually I like this guy’s music and latest songs. Give it a listen and let me know if you liked it too :)

Artist/Band: Rascal Flatts
Lyrics for Song: What Hurts The Most
Lyrics for Album: Me & My Gang

I can take the rain on the roof of this empty house
That don’t bother me
I can take a few tears now and then and just let them out
I’m not afraid to cry every once in a while
Even though going on with you gone still upsets me
There are days every now and again I pretend I’m ok
But that’s not what gets me

What hurts the most
Was being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away
And never knowing
What could have been
And not seeing that loving you
Is what I was tryin’ to do

It’s hard to deal with the pain of losing you everywhere I go
But I’m doin’ It
It’s hard to force that smile when I see our old friends and I’m alone
Still Harder
Getting up, getting dressed, livin’ with this regret
But I know if I could do it over
I would trade give away all the words that I saved in my heart
That I left unspoken

What hurts the most
Is being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away
And never knowing
What could have been
And not seeing that loving you
Is what I was trying to do

What hurts the most
Is being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away
And never knowing
What could have been
And not seeing that loving you
Is what I was trying to do

(Not seeing that loving you)
That’s what I was trying to do

Fuel Station ADventure!

It has been quite a busy week!
And another busy week is coming ahead! Well, if I walk out of next week alive, then I will make it this semester! I have three quizzes and one assignment submission on Saturday! This is a first! I mean all these quizzes on the same day. Anyways, here is the update as seen in the AD :D :p

Last night sensation goes to the fuel station to fill up his car’s fuel tank and the following scene takes place…

Sensation parks the car and asks the guy to top up the tank and then goes straight to the outlet in the station. After picking up a Pepsi can and a bottle of BARBICAN (apple flavor) he walks to the counter.

Sensation: Hello! How are you doing?

The counter guy: Hey! Good, thanks! (with a weird look on his face.. as if he wanted to say “What the hell?!! Do I know you? WHY are you greeting me!” :s

Sensation tries to be cool and act normally..

The guy takes the bar code reader and toot, toot!

Sensation: Okay. The balance is 3.75 Bisaz (after seeing it on the little screen of course)

Hands him 400 Bsz

The guy puts my stuff in a plastic bag and hands them to me and then gives me a pack of bubble gum!

Sensation (with wtf face) : What’s this?

The counter guy: We don’t have change (talks with a cold tone!)

Sensation: But I don’t want to buy bubble gum! You see! I want my damn 25 Bsz!

The counter guy: I am afraid that we don’t have any change left.

Sensation: Okay! Thanks!

Sensation takes the bubble gum along with his drinks and heads to the car.

In a flash, sensation walks into the outlet again and hands the change along with the bubble gum to the counter guy and takes his money back! Woooooooooohoooooooo!!! The counter guy looks angrily at sensation but sensation being the heroic guy walks out with a devilish grin on his face! In case you are reading this, counter guy, I don’t give a damn about how you feel :)

I know that some of you already hate me for posting about this but don’t get me wrong! It’s not about me being cheap! I am not! I swear! Loool!! It’s just that I don’t and won’t let any force anything on me! If I want bubble gum, I can decide for myself! I won’t buy those low quality bubble gums either :p

A Friday afternoon at Sawadi Beach

Last week on Friday afternoon we started our trip towards Sawdi Beach. We were three good looking guys :p Well the main reason was to take our Serbian friend who has his own blog in Serbian ofcourse here, to a new spot and a lovely one too :)

We had our lunch Sawadi Resort and then walked on the beach and even went for a cruise on a boat, a fishing boat that is! Hahahahaaa!!! It was fun, since that was my first time going for such a cruise! Believe it or not!

While I was there on the crowded beach seeing all these people having a good time with their families I realized how much I missed out! I used to spend my weekend either in sleeping or on the internet. I ended up wasting all that precious time. I don’t even invest my time in studying in the weekends! All my studying is done in the week days unless I have an exam right after the weekend. I decided to plan out my weekends more efficiently. I always loved the beach. I think the best thing for me will be to spend some time every weekend sitting on the beach.

One scene which made me think is seeing a lady reading her book on the beach. I shall dedicate a whole post to talk about “Reading!” That will be my next post in sha Allah.

It was already sunset as we were heading back to Muscat.. I just couldn't resist the view! Don't you just love how the sunset looks? Peaceful and quiet..

For more pictures from our trip to Sawadi Beach, please check my flicker account :)
